THE DAY MEETING -
Still hot and humid today, and spiritually, getting even hotter. This morning, Randy preached out of the book of Judges, specifically about Gideon, i.e., "The Making Of A Mighty Warrior." At the conclusion of his message, he said, "I felt that while I was preaching this message, there were some of you here who are sensing that the call of God on your life is so big that it scares you...if that's you, come forward" (I expected mayber 6 or 8 people to come up; talked to Randy later, he thought maybe 20 or 30 would respond) Suddenly, more than 150 people left their seats and poured to the front!
Randy then prayed - the power from on high fell - and the ministry team began to move among the people and bless the touch of the Spirit. Many were ministered to indidivually, some were given prophetic words. After a time of ministry, the sanctuary again had the look of a battlefield; people lay all over the altar area, in the aisles, some quietly weeping, some praying in tongues, others just sitting quietly. Even when the meeting was officially over, a large number of those attending remained in their seats, talking quietly, enjoying the peaceful presence of the Lord. Many were still "receiving" even though not directly being prayed for. One lady was at the platform on her knees, leaning over the platform head in her hands, quietly weeping. A man sat on the platform steps, elbow upon knee, head tilted slightly in one hand, eyes closed. A woman sitting in the corner of where the steps joined the platform, elbow resting on the step, head leaning onto her hand, eyes closed, face dreamy, lost in God. In the background, the keyboard player quietly soaked the entire scene with the delicated tinkling of the keyboard sounds, like water as a fine spray, soaking and refreshing. It was very very good.
THE NIGHT MEETING
The evening began in the prayer ministry room with a powerful word from one of the minstry team -- "...I'm going to come in fire tonight and burn up everything that's not useful...I'm coming in a power surge, so just raise your hands and plug into my power..." As this word was being delivered, I was standing about 10 feet away from this lady, but I could feel the power coming off her in waves of energy. As this word was delivered, she and those adjacent to her experienced real, physical heat, and their faces became quite red and flushed.
Just before tonight's message, some testimonies from last night and the earlier session today were given:
Phil -
"Over the past five weeks the Lord has been healing my left heel of a condition called planti facia (sic) which I have had for one year. On Friday morning, in response to a word of knowledge, I received prayer and now am totally free of pain in my foot."
Gordon -
"I believe I have received healing of diverticulitis and associated anemia that was causing extreme fatigue and weakness. Praise the Lord!"
Peta -
"I had pain in my abdomen that I suffer with often, and when we had prayer it went away."
Roslyn -
"Healed from adhesions - 37 abdominal operations -- healed of a bowel disorder. Deliverance from spirit of infirmity and many other spirits. Healing from guilt and shame. Healing of emotions. Had prayer for all of my physical body."
Ann -
"Last night as Randy was sharing about the blind man that Jesus healed, my eyes started wildly blinking -- I tried to stop them, thinking I was getting carried away, but they would not stop blinking for some time. Even though I have cataracts, I can see much more clearly now."
Glenice -
" I have had several skin cancers healed on my face, in response to a word of knowledge."
Ann -
"In 1993, I broke my ankle in two places, and have pins in my ankle. They're always swollen and very stiff. On Friday, I had prayer for healing and there is no swelling and it looks normal."
Randy's message tonight was on "Pressing In." Interestingly enough, unlike the last six or seven times he's preached this message, he was actually able to complete the message tonight. Even so, there was a powerful response to the altar call, with many coming to repent.
Afterwards there was prayer against evil spirits; powerful, fiery, confrontational prayer. From the first words of prayer, the manifestations began...and most of the ministry team, (including myself) spent the rest of the night in the deliverance prayer rooom.
